Spomasz Zamość Spółka Akcyjna is a company established on the basis of a pre-war metalworks producing agricultural equipment. The date of the plant's founding is 1950, when Metal Works under the name ZAMET was established. It was then that production of drive chains called Gallo chains began.

In 1973, Zamet became part of the Spomasz group and in 1981 adopted the name Fabryka Pomp i Armatury Przemysłu Mleczarskiego "Spomasz" in Zamość. Production of pumps for milk - Pump GA and pumps for cream - Pump GU began.
In 1996, the company was privatised and bought from the State Treasury by its employees. The company takes the name of Spomasz Zamość S.A.

1996 is the year in which Spomasz Zamość S.A. starts production of acid-resistant steel tanks. Initially storage tanks, in the following years process tanks, tank heating or cooling systems, tanks with mixers.
In 1997, intensive work began on extending the range of centrifugal pumps manufactured. New types of pumps for food liquids were introduced to meet the requirements for machinery in the food industry.

Today:
The company's share capital is PLN 1,000,220.
The company operates on two plants with a total area of more than 30,000 m², and employs 138 employees, including 8 constructors and designers, whose commitment enables the company to meet the requirements set before it.
Spomasz Zamość S.A. is in the process of investing in the implementation of CNC machines for manufacturing processes - cutting, bending, machining, welding. The investments are being made with the support of the Regional Operational Programme of the Lubelskie Voivodeship for 2007-2013.

As part of Priority Axis I Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the Regional Operational Programme for the Lubelskie Voivodeship for 2007-2013, Spomasz Zamość S.A. has received funding for the project:

"On the basis of currently manufactured pumps, development and implementation of innovative pumps in explosion-proof execution meeting the requirements of the European Union ATEX Directive 64/9/EC" specified in the application for funding of project implementation no. 02.11-WND-RPLU.01.03.00-06-098/11

As part of the grant received, two new types of centrifugal pumps were launched and put into production:

Type GH25Ex centrifugal pump for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, as a monobloc including motor and seal protection against working fluid leakage and overheating.

Type GU30Ex centrifugal pump for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, as a monobloc including motor and seal protection against working fluid leakage and overheating.
