Pump construction project co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the Regional Operational Programme for the Lubelskie Voivodeship 2007-2013
Application
A pump from the GH series of explosion-proof food pumps, designed to ensure hygienic pumping of foodstuffs (spirit pump) and chemicals (solvent pumps), the pump is designed for use in explosive atmospheres.
The pumps are designed with the current requirements for food industry applications in mind.
The GH25 explosion-proof pump is made entirely of acid-resistant steel, the pump casing and all parts in contact with the medium are made of 1.4404 (316L) steel, internal surface roughness ≤0.8μm, washable casing seal and all components inside the casing.
Purpose
GH-25 pump in explosion-proof design in compliance with the requirements of ATEX Directive 94/9/EC on the essential requirements for equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. (Journal of Laws No. 263 item 2203))
The pump is designed to transport both non-flammable liquids and flammable liquids that can form explosive mixtures classified as explosion group IIB and that are of temperature class T4.
The pump is designed for use in areas where there is a zone 1 and/or zone 2 risk of explosive mixtures of flammable gases and/or flammable liquid vapours with air.
The metallic parts of the pump that come into contact with the product are made of acid-resistant steel in grade 1.4404 (316L), the non-metallic parts of the mechanical seal are made of sintered silicon carbide (SiC), and the rubber parts of the pump and seal are EPDM grade. Other parts of the pump that are not in direct contact with the pumped liquid are made of metallic materials in grade 1.4301 (304).
The physical and chemical properties of the pumped liquid are within the resistance range of the pump parts materials. The Contractor shall, at the request of the user, ensure that the choice of pump materials is suitable for the declared operational parameters.

The pump is designed for spirits, alcohols, vodka, solvents.
Dry-running protection
They provide two explosion-proof mechanical seals. The pumps are equipped with a cooling system for the mechanical seals.
Ambient temperature
The ambient temperature must not exceed the permissible range for the engine type, i.e. -20 to +40°C
Maximum operating temperature
In continuous operation, the GH pump, due to its design, can transport liquids whose maximum temperature does not exceed 50°C.
General characteristics
The GH pump is a centrifugal pump and is, together with the motor, a closed monolithic structure with four adjusting screws fitted with vibration isolator feet.
The design of the pump is dominated by a coolant reservoir connected to the cooling system of the mechanical seals.
The following advantages of the pump are noteworthy: easy operation, low energy consumption, easy cleaning of parts, convertibility (no foundation required). The pump is durable and reliable in operation.
The external casing of the pump has two connections according to DIN11851 - suction K1 and discharge K2. Adjustment screws allow the horizontal axis of the pump to be set within a range of 180÷210 mm from the ground.
