Pump GU-15 - Pumps for food liquids

The GU-15 single seal pump replaces the GU2-13 and GU2-14 two-stage pumps manufactured by Spomasz Zamość S.A..

There are two versions with different parameters and designated as GU-15 with a 6.0kW motor and GU-15/4 with a 4.0kW motor.

The pumps are designed with the current requirements for food industry applications in mind.

The GU-15 pumps are made entirely of acid-resistant steel, pump bodies and all parts in 1.4404 (316L) steel, internal surface roughness ≤0.8µm, washable body gasket and all components inside the body.
Material thickness min. 5.0mm.

The GU-15 pump is designed for the transfer of non-concentrated or concentrated food liquids with a dry matter content of up to 50% or other foodstuffs with similar properties at temperatures up to 95°C.

Due to the value of the overpressure generated by the pump, it can be used for pumping media through plate and tube heat exchangers and other devices with considerable resistance.

The pump can be designed for installations where food safety is very important.

The pump may be used, among other things, in

• transfer of liquid food products with viscosity up to 1000 cP,
• dairy (fresh and pasteurised milk, whey, ice cream mixes),
• fruit and vegetable processing (non-clarified juices, clarified juices, juices with fibres, fruit drinks, vegetable drinks, wines, liqueurs),
• distilling (distillery mash, spirits),
• pharmaceuticals,
• pumping of basic utilities in the food industry (water, cold or hot purified water,
• cleaning fluids for the CIP system,
• other liquids

The GU-15 type pump is a centrifugal pump and together with the motor is a closed monolithic structure resting on 4 spherical feet adjustable to allow for pump leveling.

Pump impeller - open, mounted on the extended shaft of the motor driving the pump. External pump casing mounted with cap screws to the pump casing. An o-ring seal is fitted between the outer casing and the pump casing so that it can be washed out during the CIP cleaning process.

Outer casing and pump casing made of min. 5.0 mm thick, specially formed in a forming process, which contributes to the durability and reliability of the pump.

Connection ferrules with Rd male threads in accordance with DIN 11851.
Pump manufactured in AISI 316 stainless steel (1.4404) for the parts coming into contact with the product and AISI 304 (EN 1.4301) for the other parts such as casing and base.

Shaft seals: double face mechanical seal with flushing fluid (water) or single face seal; seal material sets selected to suit the medium to be pumped.

Other seal material sets on request.
