Pump LR-20 - Pumps for food liquids
General information
Pump LR-20 is designed for operation in conditions of scarcity or temporary lack of liquid. The pump can suck the liquid from a pipeline partially filled with liquid, suck the cleaning agents from a tank or from a device, removing them completely in the cleaning process carried out, which prevents the formation of deposits on the walls of the equipment being cleaned.
Normal operating conditions of the pump are to pump a mixture of air, foam and liquid.
The two versions of the pump, LR standard and LRH with the suction port horizontal, allow easier adaptation to existing installations.
Both pump versions have the same parameters.
The connection diagram includes both pump versions.

General characteristics of the LR-20 pump
LR series pumps have a compact monolithic construction in which a specially designed motor shaft forms the base for seating the impeller and the stator holds the pump casing. The motor body is bolted to a base equipped with four spherical adjustable feet for levelling and positioning the pump. The pump requires no additional foundation. The installed motor cover protects the motor during cleaning of associated equipment and premises.
The LR pump is a type of circulating centrifugal pump operating on the rotating liquid ring principle.
The design of the ring channels, the construction of the impeller and the location of the pump ports allow the pumped liquid to partially remain in the pump casing chamber, and it is the remaining liquid that enables the pumped liquid to be drawn in when there is a shortage of liquid or when the liquid flow is completely interrupted.
The pump principle also makes it possible to pump aerated liquid and foamed liquid.
Residues of the pumped medium remaining in the casing prevent the pump from being used in product applications.
The pump can be operated with complete shut-off of the medium at the suction side of the pump.
Material execution: stainless steel 1.4301.
Shaft seal: mechanical face seal with graphite ring/silicon carbide +epdm configuration.
