PSK type worm elevator

APPLICATION

Auger elevators are designed for moving products such as bulk materials, frozen fruit and vegetables, post-processing waste, etc. Depending on the desired performance of the device, it is possible to increase the diameter of the auger and the transport body.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

The PSK screw elevator is made as an inverted omega-shaped body. The body of the device is placed on a special structure ensuring the transport of the product between two levels. The body of the device is closed by opening covers preventing access to the working parts of the device during operation. After the production process it is possible to lift the covers in order to clean the unit. The openable lids are fitted with a sensor that stops operation of the unit if the lid is opened during operation. The bottom part of the casing is fitted with a cleaning cover allowing product residues to be removed from the inside of the casing and water to flow out after the washing process.

In addition, it is possible to equip the unit's control unit with an option to enable "reverse" rotation during the washing process. After switching the appropriate switch, it is possible to open the lids and activate the "reverse" rotation.

The unit may also be equipped with a central 'CIP' cleaning system consisting of cleaning heads located inside the unit body and an electro-valve controlling the cleaning process.

Both the infeed and outfeed of the unit are matched to the equipment in the production line where the screw elevator is located. Depending on the location and production technology of the line in which the device is located, the geared motor can be fitted with a protective cover. Machine components in contact with the product are made of austenitic acid-resistant steel and elastomers approved for contact with food products. The elevator is driven by a geared motor with a power output depending on the size and capacity of the device.
